Covered Treasures Bookstore, 105 Second Street, Monument, 719-481-2665 is hosting a month-long event focusing on women in the literary world.  Thursday, March 7 from 6:30-8:00 p.m., Holly Sly will be signing her book, Toolbox from Heaven.  Holly's book is a very personal book expressing her deep faith.  When Holly's daughter, Alexandra falls ill at school one day, Holly thinks it's probably just a mild stomach bug.  But, when her illness starts to exhibit symptons of hearing loss and dizziness, she knows something is very wrong.  Alexandra is diagnosed with both encephalitis and meningitis resulting in profound hearing loss.  Both Holly and her husband Larry must deal with treatment options, schooling alternatives and social interaction changes.  Holly leans on her faith to help her navigate this new path of life for her family.
