In 2010, when Furry Friend's Inc. decided to expand their current business by adding a new retail store for their pet food they discovered "Restore" the store downtown that benefits Habitat for Humanity. Shopping was so much fun for their pet boutique. Furry Friends Inc. found a chandelier for the middle of the store and then a great find when they spotted the armoire that came out of the Cheyenne Mountain Resort when they remodeled.
Restore is a great place for all of those little finds. They take in donations and resell them to the community to help with all kinds of projects. The building supplies from Restore along with other fun stuff are usually in great condition as they recycle, reuse, resell.
So, when the next project came along for the Furry Friends Inc. Bath House they went straight to Restore. Talking to the manager, Steve Leachman, he was ready and willing to lend a hand in spotting just the right stuff for the project. This do-it-yourself doggie wash was to be first class and unique. "We wanted the pet parents out there to be able to come to a fun, spa like atmosphere to wash their dogs" said Debbie Brookham, owner Furry Friends Inc.
First came the bathtubs....what can really happen to a bathtub? Furry Friends Inc found three bathtubs in perfect condition for even the biggest Great Dane to fit in. Price was way less than half the price at the big box stores. Next, the drying stations needed to be completed. Looking around the store they found shower doors. The perfect solution to divide the drying stations and at $10 a piece, what a deal!
Furry Friends Inc was able to save hundreds of dollars shopping at Restore while helping the community and the wonderful efforts of Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity. What a win for everyone! Great savings, support the community all while helping build a strong local community between the businesses.
So, next time you shop, consider Restore and oh, bring your dogs because the biscuits are on Furry Friends Inc.
