The students, families, and staff at Imagine Indigo Ranch (IIR) recognize the importance of giving to the community and recently participated in the Harvest of Love Food Drive.  Mr. Doug Luckett, an IIR parent, board member, and local Cub Scout Leader, organized the food drive.  The Imagine community opened their hearts and cabinets and gave generously, donating an equivalent of 18,735 pounds in food and money donations for the city’s local food bank:

Imagine Indigo Ranch won first-place among the Top 5 Charter schools in the city (Imagine’s total was more than three times the combined amount of the next four Charter school finishers), and our school placed first out of all the elementary/middle schools in District 49.

The generous giving did not stop with the food drive.  In the spirit of the Holiday Season, 571 Imagine Indigo Ranch students participated in the Macy's Believe Campaign benefiting The Make-a-Wish Foundation by writing letters to Santa.   For every letter written and turned in, Macy's will donate $1 to The Make-a-Wish Foundation. IIR students decided to maximize their giving by turning in their letters on Friday, December 14 -- Macy's National Believe Day (when every letter turned in earned $2 for The Make-a-Wish Foundation).  So through the power of the pen, Imagine Indigo Ranch students donated $1,142 to The Make-a-Wish Foundation!

And the giving keeps on going.  Imagine Indigo Ranch families donated 101 gifts for the Starlight Children’s Foundation which were dropped off at the Starlight “Toy Store” December 17th.

Thank you to all the generous families and staff who have donated abundantly during these meaningful fundraisers in support of our community.
