Comment by Deb Harney on March 23, 2013 at 6:47pm SAND CREEK HIGH SCHOOL becomes the first Junior Optimist Octagon International (JOOI) Club! In a ceremony at Sand Creek High School on March 13, President Dhena Sundaram and Secretary/Treasurer Anastasie Moise were installed as club officers and received the OI Charter certificate. Club members were installed and received membership cards and JOOI pins. The HS service club has already begun the Optimist fine tradition of service on two school projects -- a garden and a mural to enhance a school hall. Big plans are afoot for August's campaign to end school bullying which will feature entertainers and community events!! The SCHS club is sponsored by the Academy Optimist Club (www.academyoptimist.org). SCHS students with a real desire for school and community service are welcome to contact SCHS Octagon Club officers, club members, or SCHS Club Advisor Jill Spangenberg through the SCHS contact number.

Owner and band leader Ronnie Cook was with the Flying W Wranglers for 13 years and now continues to entertain in a different venue. The BBQ meal is excellent. The entire family will enjoy the show with great music and comedy. For prices and times call 719-683-7865.
