There will be an informative carbon monoxide awareness training on February 5 at 6:00 p.m. at PPCC. Sponsored by the Pikes Peak Mechanical Contractors, this is in coordination of the Carbon Monoxide Task Force, a collaberative effort of many local nonprofits and businesses.  This is an excellent training - email ppmca@ppmca.net for more info.

Fire & Glory Ministries is seeking musicians, vocalists and those in the creative arts fields to help with a benefit concert/showcase to help raise funds to house homeless teens in Fountain/Colorado Springs. What will it cost in time and money to be a Lion?  Our Tri-Lakes Lions Clubs meets once a month. Since you will be volunteering individually or with your family, this will be time spent together with your children, parents, brothers and sisters or other family and Tri-Lakes members. You can commit as much time as you wish.

 Dues: There is a one-time entry fee and modest yearly dues. Lions are the first volunteer service organization to offer a reduced family dues plan. You can learn more on the Lions Clubs International Web site.

Wild Forever Foundation is responding to the need of youth education in wildlife safety. We recently encountered a situation where some local children were holding and cuddling a baby skunk. WFF is preparing a presentation to deliver to local elementary school students about the dangers involved with wild animals, specifically diseases like rabies. We feel this program should be delivered directly to the children, along with educational materials to take home to their parents. ‎"COLORADO SPRINGS – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be closing Interstate 25 at Woodmen Road tomorrow night, allowing crews to install a large sign across the highway. 
Beginning at 10 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, all lanes of northbound I-25 will be closed at the Woodmen Road Interchange (Exit 149). All traffic will detour via the off- and on-ramp, with the traffic signals adjusted to provide additional “green” time for the northbound traffic traveling through the intersection at the bottom of the ramp. Some slowing should be expected through the area.
All lanes of northbound I-25 will reopen to traffic by 6 a.m. on Friday. "

We are the BEST non-profit organization out there!  We are a club of men and women who want to improve our Community, further strong Americanism, pat the Youth on the back as we honor them, and our national objective - to  FIGHT CHILD ABUSE.  Our Craft Fair in Falcon is designed to boost community involvement, bring in handmade items for the neighborhood to get as Christmas presents, and lastly - the MOST IMPORTANT - give a MOUNTAIN of canned goods, coats, toys and a PILE OF MONEY to High Plains Helping Hands and God's Pantry for those less fortunate.  The Exchange Club of Falcon is a CHAMPION!

Anyone near 423 North Cascade Ave last Saturday around 4:15 probably heard a large explosion.  That was the sound of lightning hitting the McAllister House Museum. It struck the metal rod on the roof bracing the chimney and traveled through the museum and to the Carriage House behind, knocking out the security system, Internet and producing four baseball size holes in the ceiling of the Children's bedroom.  We are still assessing what further damage it might have done.  The fire department has been marvelous, coming out several times to insure there was no chance of fire.  We have repaired the security system so we'll be notified if this happens again anytime soon and are in the process of making as many repairs as we can.  We are also looking into the possibility of installing a lightning rod, despite its lack of historical accuracy.  After all, the McAllisters didn't have gutters either and yet you'll see them on the House.

We will be conducting a fund-raiser shortly to help with the expense as we carry a high deductible with our insurance company

LET THE PROPHETS SPEAK

I am convinced that it is time for the prophets of God to arise and declare and decree the will of God. God is mandating me to lift my voice and declare and decree the blessing of Abraham for this hour. If you are the seed of Abraham, this message is for you. God is releasing that blessing from heaven for the appointed time. Believe and receive it now. Then you can be a blessing to others and God will be glorified. I will begin meeting every third Wednesday night of the month with other prophetic voices in the region in order to release the prophetic word of God for our region. It is time to speak blessing and not cursing over our cities. It is time to declare good and not evil. We have the God-given authority to declare and decree a thing and it shall be established.
