Six weeks ago our Assistant Pastor and his wife were in a very bad car accident. Mrs. Brockman's neck was broken and she is paralyzed and undergoing physical therapy in rehab. They are looking at several more months of this. They have three small children. Our church is having a huge yard sale this Saturday, August 17th, and all proceeds will go to them. It is our desire to raise money to help them financially. Prices will be by donation. Please come out and help support this family in their time of need.

The next PIKES PEAK OPRY SHOW AND DINNER is September 29th at the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame. Owner and band leader Ronnie Cook was with the Flying W Wranglers for 13 years and now continues to entertain in a different venue. The BBQ meal is excellent. The entire family will enjoy the show with great music and comedy. For prices and times call 719-683-7865.

they do.

I did not see much coverage of today's events on the network news channels this evening, probably because it was quiet and uneventful. I wonder if the "kiss day" the protestors are planning for Friday will be a different story. I also have to suspect, due to past behaviors, that their event may not be as calm and peaceful as our show of support was today. They are sure to be out with their picket signs covered with words of hate and judgment. I find that very sad indeed.
