Army Staff Sgt. Charles Vicari of 1st Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment, speaks after taking his re-enlistment oath Nov. 14 at Evans International Elementary School in Falcon School District 49. Vicari, who returned six months ago from a deployment to Afghanistan, said he's re-enlisting for the last time and looking forward to retirement. Vicari's wife, Pamela Vicari, and their fourth and second grade students, Devin, 9, and Ryann, 7, stood nearby, as part of the evening's tribute to Veterans Day. The events also included lively musical presentations and an Army soldier's message from Afghanistan to his seven-year-old daughter.
