Choir teacher Harriet Jarmon directs a student chorus performing “We Will Not Forget” for their community Nov. 9 at Skyview Middle School in Falcon School District 49. Hundreds of people had gathered for the school's tribute to Veterans Day, Nov. 11, a presentation by its fine arts department. The event's guests included the student's family members and District 49 Board of Education directors, as well as several city and state officials. Army Sgt. Kennedy James, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, who recently returned from a combat deployment in Afghanistan, arrived from nearby Fort Carson to participate as a speaker.
