Second grade teacher Kimberly Watkins explains vowel phonetics Feb. 13 at Odyssey Elementary School in Falcon School District 49. "I help them take leadership of their own learning," said Watkins, who's taught elementary school students for 16 years, five years in District 49. "I really want to help kids set goals and give them the tools to reach those goals."
