Teacher: 'Swept Off My Feet' from Afghanistan

Third grade teacher Jamie Calhoun enjoys a serenade by the Pikes Peak Four barbershop quartet Feb. 14 at Meridian Ranch Elementary School in Falcon School District 49. From left: Greg Ramsey, tenor; Joel McGuire, base; Bill Curtis, lead; and Jim Lucey, baritone. Her husband, Craig Calhoun, coordinated the Valentine's Day surprise from Afghanistan, along with principal Kim Leon. He deployed last November from Fort Carson, as an Army civilian. "He wasn't suppose to have time to do something like this," said Calhoun. "I was just floored, flattered beyond belief, swept off my feet."
