The Palmer Lake Historical Society and Monument Library will host a very special and innovative Civil War reenactment on Sunday, 29 April at 2:00 PM at the Monument Library in Monument. Students from a Lewis-Palmer High School history class will reenact scenes from the family of Charley H. Morrison, a marine on the USS Brooklyn during the Civil War, reading letters he sent to them as he took part in the war.
