Taekwondo Demonstration at Discovery Canyon Middle School

May 26, 2012 from 4pm to 5pm
Olympian Barb Kunkel from The Academy of Life and Leadership Taekwondo in Colorado Springs presents the Spring 2012 Graduating Black Belt Team to the public.   The 20-member team will do this FREE martial arts demonstration of elite skills, high techniques, and exciting board breaks for 1 full hour.  It is appropriate and inspiring for all ages.    It begins promptly at 4:00 p.m.  No reservations required.See More

Free Family Event –Black Belt Taekwondo Demo

A world of excitement in your own back yard!    November 26th at the Middle School Gym of Discovery Canyon Campus, the newest 30-person Black Belt Team from the Academy of Life and Leadership Taekwondo will be showing off their self-defense skills, forms, kicking sets and more. They will demonstrate their uniformity and synchronization as they move to music.  The spectacular board breaks and weapons forms are included in this hour-long show!   Olympian Barb Kunkel will kick off the event…See More

The Dinosaur In My Bathtub

It all started when Lynn and Tom of Security, Colorado, purchased a cute, 4-inch female iguana. Today, this amazing pet measures 5 feet long.  Although she has developed double rows of razor sharp teeth, long claws, and a 3-foot tail that can be whipped around in defense, the family still considers her their baby, which she was aptly named 21 years ago. Lynn says, "Baby has never used her defense attributes against anyone, and daily loving attention keeps her a docile, fun pet".…See More

Local team wins silver medal for United States in World Competition!

The South Korean national news highlighted the small team from Colorado Springs as soon as they arrived. Exhilaration spread as the athletes and coaches of the Academy of Life and Leadership Taekwondo (ALL TKD) realized their dream had come true.  After traveling 24 hours to Namyangju , where the world taekwondo competition was to be held, the confident team soon competed against 7 other countries.  Then excitement spread in the United States as the news here announced that the 9-person Demo…See More

Thanks for the photos. Is there a story that goes with them? I didn't see any identification for any people in the photos, either.
