All Presidents, any President of the United States of America should have to sign the same promise as JFK had to sign as the first Catholic ever to be elected our Chief Executive.Anyone interested in signing a petition to make this into law?I wish we could also make Presidential candidates stop campaigning on religious beliefs.See More

Kudos to El Paso County Commissioners!

  Kudos to El Paso County Commissioners for standing their ground against Colorado's State Oil and Gas Commission regulations, the same regulations that allowed groundwater contamination in this state!  According to the Gazette, those eager to mine 'sparsely populated' Colorado soil by frack wells, will have to monitor groundwater for years to come.  And the other good news is that this mining operation will create new jobs for five or six years. See More

Another New Year!

    Another New Year's Eve, another resolution to be ya-da, ya-da, ya-da, And yet another decision whether to go out dining and dancing or to stay in and watch the ball drop on TV. What to do?     Tonight I'm happy to say, we're going to be out on the floor with a young crowd, moving to that good old Zumba beat. Yeah, we're going to be exercising tonight! Holiday Pumpkin Dessert

My take on holiday pumpkin pie (no crust)1 15 oz can pumpkin1 small can sweetened condensed milk2 beaten eggs1/4 cup raw sugarDash of sea salt1 tsp ground cloves1 tsp ground ginger1 bottle cap  + or - Cointreau (orange liquer)4 tablespoons Krusteaz Buttermilk Pancake MixPreheat oven to 425 degrees, spray large pie baking pan with nonstick coatingCombine spices, set asideCombine pumpkin, eggs, and sugar.
