Seniors Serving Seniors Founders Head to California

Last chance to enjoy a local seminar for senior homeowners We first met Dick and Patty Dockstader in the Your Hub pages of the Gazette in 2008.  They've been offering free seminars to senior homeowners (age 62 and older) to educate them on the facts about Reverse Mortgages. This summer, I've been fortunate to have the gift of some free time to rethink what I want to be when I grow up (probably still not going to happen) and I've been…See More

Local Business Owner "Steers" Our Community Forward

True heroes are the people who do good things without asking for attention or recognition.  I am proud to know one. Gary Olson is the owner of Airport Automotive, a family-owned business in its 20th year, on Platte Avenue near Powers.  He is also a person who gives back to others.  Last month, in honor of Memorial Day, Gary donated 5% of the May profits from his auto repair and maintenance business to Wounded Warriors (…See More

Hi Lenora! Stephanie Merchant Johnson offered a great tip, so we're passing it along here:

I have two internet tabs open simultaneously: Fresh Ink on one, YourHub on the other. I open up the YH story, click "Edit" (makes it easier), put my cursor inside the story somewhere, click CTRL + A (to select All), then CTRL + C (to Copy). Then I go to the Fresh Ink tab, click on "Add a Blog Post," type in a title, click the cursor into the body, and hit CTRL + V (to paste), then make any necessary changes/updates. Then I scroll down to the date and change it to the date I originally posted it on YourHub so the stories stay in order, then click "Publish." I'll be doing photos separately, I just wanted to get all the stories transferred for now. Let me know if you have any questions.
