Join a converstaion with Michael Garman about his 50-year career as America's Storyteller Sculptor.  Learn how and why this vagabond artist decided to Break the Mold--sculpting working-class people and unsung American Heroes, choosing to reproduce his work instead of create one-of-a-kind sculptures for elite clientele, and live by his own rules in the wino districts of North and South America.…See More

Celebrating Small Business Saturday in Old Colorado City

Michael Garman’s Successful Food Drive

The Michael Garman Museum & Gallery hosted a food drive to help restock the depleted shelves of the emergency pantry at Silver Key Senior Services.  Donations came flooding in.  For three weeks, friends and neighbors brought cases of food—time and again overflowing the 38-gallon container we displayed in the Museum.  We stored excess food under sculpture displays, in storage rooms, just anywhere we could find.  And still the donations kept coming. We collected a total of 591 pounds of…See More

Michael Garman Joins with Silver Key for an Emergency Food Drive at The Michael Garman Museum & Gallery

A few days ago, Michael Garman learned of the desperate need at Silver Key Senior Services.  Due to the tremendous local need and a reduction in recent donations, the emergency pantry shelves at Silver Key are depleted of all but a few boxes of cereal and bottles of salad dressing.  This local nonprofit…See More

Michael Garman Celebrates his 50th Anniversary as America's Storteller Sculptor

If you visit The Michael Garman Museum, you will find over 500 sculptures paying tribute to everyday American Heroes--the brave men and women who pull us out of burning buildings, stand on the front lines of war zones, protect our communities, teach our children, and inspire our imaginations.  This cornerstone of Old Colorado City can make you feel like it has always been here, telling the gritty, honest story of who we are and how far we have come. But behind the sculptures, behind the hundreds…See More
