Food Drive Helps End Hunger

         The Black Forest AARP Chapter in partnership with 12 area merchants sponsored a food drive from September 7-16.  Fifty-Five pounds of non-perishable food and $178.80 in cash was collected.  All food and donations were presented to the Black Forest Cares Food Pantry.  The project was the chapter's 2012 Day of Service project. Black Forest Volunteers Help

Lending A Helping hand

         Members of the Black Forest AARP Chapter # 1100 teamed with the Sunny Vista Living Center and other volunteers to help move their current residents to a new facility on May 5.  Each Sunny Vista resident was assigned two volunteer (companions) to escort him or her from the old facility to the new resident facility.  The AARP Chapter volunteers also assisted the resident in unpacking his/her belongings and organizing the new resident room according to the resident's preference.        …See More

Anniversary Celebration
