4th Annual Bowl-a-Thon Benefiting Programs for Kids and Adults with Disabilities
Special Kids Special Families will hold its 4th annual Bowl-a-Thon from 1-4pm on St. Patrick's Day, March 17th at King Pin Lanes on 3410 N Academy Blvd in Colorado Springs. The Bowl-a-Thon has become an annual tradition involving the Colorado Springs community, SKSF staff, and local businesses raising funds for programs that support children and adults with developmental disabilities and special needs. Teams are formed and each bowler is encouraged to raise $50 in pledges for free admission to the event. Contest and raffle prizes will be awarded throughout the event and a souvenir Bowl-a-thon t-shirt will be given to every paid participant. Area businesses are invited to sponsor the event at levels ranging from $100-$1000. Special thanks to current sponsors NuStar Energy, Vinton Law Firm, Simple CPR and Pikes Peak Credit Union. All community members are welcome to come have FUN and don their best Irish wear! Special Kids Special Families promotes, strengthens and supports individuals with disabilities and their families. SKSF programs teach individuals with disabilities life skills while learning to socialize and expand their levels of independence through fun educational activities.
