Colorado Springs' Best Cover band will be opening for international music artist Leon Russell on Sun., Sept. 19 at the Stargazers Theater & Event Center, 10 South Parkside Drive.
"Leon Russell, riding high with his new studio album The Union--a collaboration with Elton John and Bernie Taupin (available Oct. 19), is riding back into town to appear at Stargazers Theatre and Event Center.
Leon, who performed to a sold-out crowd in June 2009 at Stargazers, is returning to rock the dome with true blue favorites and new tunes. He has played on pop, rock, blues, country, bluegrass, standard, gospel, and surf records. As a session musician, arranger, producer, singer, songwriter, pianist, guitarist, record company owner, bandleader and touring musician, Leon has collaborated with hundreds of artists, most recently, Sir Elton John.
6035 is a dynamic combination of five musicians who are often told that they sound just like the famous bands they cover. These guys are so in tune with each other that it’s a tight, intense, and outrageous musical ride from beginning to end. Their energy is irresistible, and you just can’t help it--you’ve got to get on your feet and dance to their mind-blowing rock & roll! Once you experience 6035, you will know why they have been voted Best Cover Band in Colorado Springs!"
