Community Event to promote TESSA and equip Women

Kym Rock's Fight Like A Girl National Program Coming To Colorado Springs, CO

Colorado Springs,CO - Diane Paulsen, a local Martial Arts business owner is on a mission to help the women and kids of our city and wants you to come out and learn how to Fight Like A Girl. You may not think that sounds very powerful, but it is. “Kym Rock’s Fight Like A Girl” is a ten-year-proven program that teaches women and kids to think smarter and have the skills and awareness to keep themselves out of dangerous situations. Fight Like A Girl also trains women and girls to get away from an attacker, abuser or abductor - something we all need to know and practice.

There are 77 million victims of abuse every year in the United States and 1 in 3 women and children in our country become victims of violent abuse. Every day, over 2000 kids are abducted in the United States. Diane Paulsen is part of the Fight Like a Girl movement to stop the rampant violence in our city and Diane says, "This program is important! Fight Like A Girl not only teaches personal violence prevention, but has a fitness allure that brings women together to empower them in their safety and helps them protect their kids. We’re bringing this fun, simple, effective program to you right here in Colorado Springs so we can make a difference together.") We are also in partnership with TESSA, a local organization whose mission it is to fight domestic and sexual violence. The free seminar will be 8 March 2012, at the Freedom Expo Center on 3650 North Nevada Ave. Sign in begins at 5:00 pm and the seminar begins at 6 pm till 8pm. Girls and ladies ages ten and up are welcome and no experience or fitness level is required.

Kym Rock (7-Time World Karate Champion, United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame Member, World Karate Union Hall of Fame Member, US Martial Arts Karate Instructor of the Year, US Martial Arts Weapons Instructor of the Year, President and Founder of "Fight Like A Girl," author of the Fight Like A Girl book series) is a former victim of domestic violence and cancer survivor who inspires women and girls to take control of their safety and potential through their thoughts, decisions, actions and knowledge of these essential life-saving skills. (For Private Certifications: Kym Rock will be here to co-host this "Fight Like A Girl" seminar with Diane so we can start changing the statistics of violence in our City.) Change must begin somewhere, so let it be here - and now - for our kids and citizens.

Across the nation, the "Fight Like A Girl” movement will reduce abuse, abduction, rape and murder in the US, create jobs and sustainable on-going programs and prevent, protect and save people from personal oppression and attacks. Diane Paulsen is hosting this event to help unleash the powerful potential of people held back by abuse, past or present. The program aims to empower all women and children to have greater self-worth and the confidence to fulfill their dreams.

Please spread the word to all your friends, get a group together and come out on March 8th to the Freedom Expo Center at 5:00 pm to have some fun, learn and laugh a lot, develop unique and valuable personal protection skills and train yourself and your kids to be safer. You Must Pre-Register!
