On Saturday, February 9, Discover Goodwill will be serving up an early Valentine’s Day gift specially tailored for caregivers featuring best-selling author and motivational speaker LeAnn Thieman. The two-hour “Chicken Soup for the Caregiver’s Soul” event will feature a heartfelt presentation by Thieman addressing personal and professional caregivers—including parents, child and senior care providers, and those providing assistance to individuals with physical and learning disabilities. “I encourage care providers on all levels and in all settings to join me for this special time dedicated to honoring and encouraging those who so selflessly and tirelessly care for others,” Thieman said.
Along with Thieman’s international acclaim as an inspirational speaker and co-author of 12 Chicken Soup for the Soul inspirational books, she participated in “Operation Babylift,” the mass-evacuation, humanitarian effort responsible for rescuing hundreds of orphaned children from Saigon at the close of the Vietnam War.
