The decision of which high school to attend can have a lasting impact on a student’s life. Each school has strengths and matching those with the strengths of the student can lead to success. Students of families who choose St. Mary’s High School often succeed beyond their greatest expectations.
Families who are considering St. Mary’s High School have an opportunity this month to gather information about the school. On Nov. 15, the school will host a St. Mary’s Information Night in the school’s gym. The gathering will start at 7 p.m. and last until 8:30 p.m.
“We started the Information Nights a few years ago to give families a chance to actually visit with the staff and administrators, including everyone from the president to the high school counselors,” said Robyn Cross, director of admissions at St. Mary’s. “It’s really a chance for the families to go one-on-one with us.”
The evening will include a video presentation about St. Mary’s, an explanation of the registration process, and a question and answer session. While the night is aimed at families of eighth graders who are considering St. Mary’s, Cross said any family looking for more information is welcome to attend.
Information Night differs some from the daytime Open Houses that St. Mary’s offers.
“Information Night offers more in-depth presentations from the staff and a chance to meet everyone,” Cross said. “The daytime Open Houses are more informal and don’t offer a chance to meet everyone since people are so busy during the day.”
