January is National Cervical Cancer Awareness Month!

January is a time to make resolutions for the New Year.  it's also Cervical Health Awareness Month.  make your health a priority in 2012 and encourage the women in your life-wife, sister, mother, friend- to do the same.

Cervical Cancer is one of the most preventable cancers, yet each year, more than 11,000 new cases are diagnosed in the United States.  More than 4,000 lives were lost last year, the majority of them were women who had never been screened or weren't screened regularly.  Pap tests find abnormal cells years before they turn to cancer.  It's a simple test and could save a life...yours or that of a loved one.

To learn more about cervical cancer and the American Cancer Society's cervical cancer screening recommendations, visit their website:  www.cancer.org or call 1.800.227.2345.
