Cheyenne Mountain Resort
11:30-1:00 pm
Kids on Bikes mission is to provide bikes to children through programs that inspire a healthy lifestyle, independence, and achievement. The first annual luncheon titled Raising a Champion: The Lance Armstrong Story as told by his mom Linda Armstrong will raise much-needed funds to support the mission and expansion of the organization. Lance Armstrong’s mom Linda will serve as the keynote speaker for the luncheon and local cycling legend Chris Carmichael will also be in attendance as a special guest to introduce Linda. Linda will be discussing the tools she gave her son Lance, to succeed and the opportunity his bike provided. Growing up in the Dallas Projects and receiving her GED, Linda’s journey as a single parent will highlight the impact a bike provides a child and the importance of kids being healthy and physically active. And you won’t want to miss plenty of stories about Lance that only a mother can tell!
