Great news friends of Energy Resource Center! We are one of three finalists for the Pikes Peak Earth Day Grant and Greenie Awards. This $5,000 matching grant will be awarded to one organization that “celebrates our Earth by enhancing awareness and inspiring personal and community action toward a sustainable future.”
This is a natural fit for ERC because this is what they do every day - keeping people efficiently warm and safe. No one else is doing what they do. Energy Resource Center is saving energy, utility usage, carbon footprint of the community by making low income homes energy efficient. They have partnered with the City of Colorado Springs and Rebuilding Together for a special neighborhood "rebuild" in the Deerfield Hills community and targeted homes for improvement. A block party of events will be May 12.
