The Citadel invites you to ring in the holiday season during Santa’s Arrival Parade on Friday, November 16^th from 6-8pm.

There’s no better way to get in the holiday spirit than personally welcoming Old St. Nick to The Citadel.  To prepare for Santa’s Arrival, The Citadel will be transforming into a magical winter wonderland.  There will be holiday decorations, twinkling lights, and an enormous Christmas tree. 

“Santa’s Arrival is one of The Citadel’s favorite parts of the holiday season! It brings everyone together for a fun, exciting celebration,” stated Jill Lais, The Citadel’s Marketing Director.

The Citadel has partnered with NORAD’s Santa tracker program, to be an official tracking location. Santa will take part in a parade throughout The Citadel that will feature elves, reindeer, dancers and acrobats. Along with the parade, there will be a conga dance line, a holiday themed flash mob and a number of exciting giveaways!

Being the giving season, there will be a collection station for the U.S. Marine Corps Res

erve Toys for Tots program. Through your donations, Toys for Tots distributes Christmas gifts to needy children in the community. The collection station will be located at Guest Services, where you can bring new, unwrapped toys now through December 16^th.

"Toys for Tots is very excited to be partnering with The Citadel this holiday season! This partnership is a great opportunity to collect toys and bring happiness to El Paso County's needy children," stated John Kowall, El Paso and Teller County Toys for Tots Lead Coordinating Officer. 

Come experience an evening filled with live entertainment, a DJ, prizes and giveaways. The festivities will begin at 6pm and spectator spots will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.  To secure your spot near Santa, make sure to arrive early! The more the merrier, so bring your family and friends to help celebrate Santa’s Arrival at The Citadel.
