"Sir Snowman" was very impressive as he displayed his "COOL" Black Belt on the corner of Chapel Hills and Jamboree on March 27th, the day of the big snowstorm! That storm obviously had some positive side effects for some of our Colorado Springs residents!
Once I heard that these kids almost drove their parents crazy asking for rides to the academy on such a snowy day, I had to ask "Why?" The answer came from Olympian Barb Kunkel, "it was our last day of Confidence and Leadership Camp and the students know what kind of excitement that day brings!"
I remembered popping in to see the kids during the week and they were not only enjoying the activities of punching and kicking, they were learning several Life and Leadership skills. In between, the teams were working on their skits and songs for the last day of camp when they get to show off what they have learned to an audience of parents, family, and other ALL TKD members.
Even though many of the campers could not make it that day, due to hazardous roads, the day was extraordinary for these kids who obviously had a kickin' day with Master Kunkel!
