Andrew Lee and Joshua Leasure, freshmen at The Vanguard School, have been selected to attend the National Young Leaders State Conference (NYLSC) in Colorado. NYLSC is an educational organization committed to helping young people achieve their full potential through leadership development. NYLSC challenges its scholars to set goals, develop effective communication and presentation skills, build strong relationships, and practice responsible decision-making. Through a competitive nomination process that considers both scholastic merit and leadership ability, NYLSC selected Lee and Leasure for a four-day leadership conference in Denver. Both students are on Vanguard’s Honor Roll. Additionally, Lee and Leasure have achieved the rank of Life in Boy Scouts and are working towards their Eagle ranks—the highest rank in scouting. Leasure expressed his excitement in being part of this select group of young leaders, “I am truly honored to have been nominated for NYLSC and look forward to bettering my leadership skills.” Congratulations, Andrew and Joshua!
