Memorial Day weekend saw the 38th annual celebration of "Territory Days" in historic Old Colorado City May 25-27, 2013.  Territory Days because the Colorado territorial legislature made Colorado City the first Territorial Capital in 1862.  Colorado City was founded in 1859, the first permanent town in the Pikes Peak region.  The streets are laid out now just as they were long ago.

Thousands throng the streets for three days seeking food, entertainment, attractions, and stuff to buy.  One of my first impressions of Colorado Springs was when I visited Territory Days several years before I moved here.  Enjoy a few pictures.
